This summer, we’ve had a fantastic time at ARTSiE as we continue to work on the Fleetwood-Jourdain community mural. On May 15, Guest Artists “Piloto” and Andrew Walker led children and their adult family members in creating beautiful clay medallions. Then, on June 15, Ms. Robyn, Piloto, and Andrew met with children at the Gibbs Morrison Center where they explored the ideas of identity, self-expression, and community through the creation of clay medallions. Families from the surrounding neighborhood will have their artwork as an enduring testimony of their engagement in the community on the final exterior mural at The Fleetwood-Jourdain Center.

It has been incredible to see everyone come together, get creative, and contribute to a piece of art that will brighten our neighborhood. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to bring our mural to life!
