In partnership with Northwestern University’s production of Frida Libre and Washington School in Evanston, IL, ARTSiE started a weekly arts class that explored the life and art of Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo. The young artists were able to explore their artistry and use their imagination as they worked throughout the semester on their own self portraits. The class also included reading books on Frida Kahlo’s life and culminated in seeing the live Theater for Young Audiences production of Frida Libre at Northwestern.
