Live Theater Family Outing

In partnership with Northwestern University’s production of Frida Libre, ARTSiE purchased 60 tickets for families to attend and see Frida Libre as a way to support what they’re learning about Frida Kahlo in our Washington after school class. The magical production introduced children to the ideas of friendship, perseverance, artistry, and the famous painter Frida Kahlo. Scroll to see some highlights!

Julissa’s favorite part was when Frida climbed the tree. She was very brave.

Evelyn enjoyed making a mariposa before the show.

Danilo is dressed like "El Luchador!"

Adella had a wonderful time at the show with her mother, grandmother, and friend. She even got to meet Frida!

Maximo was thrilled to get to see the show twice. Here he is with his family.

Adela and Abrahan got to make their own mariposas and meet the actors after the show!

We are so grateful for opportunities like this where we can bring quality and inspiring art into families’ lives! Want to continue to create opportunities like live theatre and arts education for children? Donate today!
