Robyn is ARTSiE’s Development and Fundraising Manager where she helps secure grants for after school and summer programming. She also organizes fundraising events to support ARTSiE’s growth and achieve its mission to provide scholarships and arts education programming for underserved students. Additionally, Robyn is one of ARTSiE’s teaching artists and works with students to take literacy beyond the page by helping them explore their creativity and express their stories through painting.
Robyn believes children thrive with arts in their lives and the extra one-on-one mentoring that programs like ARTSiE provide. As a parent, Robyn has always been passionate about the importance of bringing arts to education. When her children were young, Robyn chaired the Artist-in-Residence program at Oakton Elementary School in Evanston to engage a high-caliber artist program for its students. As a Title One school, many of Oakton’s students could not afford after school arts programming, making the Artist-in-Residence program an important part of their education, exposing them to the arts and their own creative expressions. She is thrilled to continue this work through ARTSiE.
When Robyn isn’t writing or teaching, she’s feeding her soul by painting, reading, traveling, playing tennis, rowing, or gardening.
