ARTSiE is seeking a highly organized and creative Manager of Communications & Marketing to oversee our external communications and digital presence. This team member reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with all team members.
This position is responsible for promoting our programs, events, and mission through engaging content, compelling visuals, and consistent branding across multiple platforms. In addition to shaping our public voice, this role communicates clearly and compassionately with families, board members, community partners, and stakeholders to strengthen engagement and grow ARTSiE’s impact. Responsibilities include designing flyers, managing the website, producing monthly newsletters and emails, and coordinating social media channels. As a collaborative team member, this role includes participating in regular meetings and supporting the communication needs of our mission-driven organization.

In addition to being a team player, this person should also be able to work autonomously on projects, manage their own task list, and take responsibility for their own work. We are a small team and take a collaborative approach to tasks. This means each team member often contributes to projects outside the scope of their specific position. This is a remote, part time position requiring 5-10 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Content Creation: Design flyers, promotional materials, and branded graphics using Canva. Write and publish monthly blog posts highlighting programs and community impact.
Website Management: Update and manage the ARTSiE website through SquareSpace with current program information, event details, and media.
Email Marketing: Create and send monthly newsletters via MailerLite; Maintain subscriber segments and promote relevant offerings; Feature community events and partnerships in monthly digests.
Social Media Management: Maintain active presence on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube: Develop and schedule engaging posts, stories, and reels; edit short videos to promote events, student work, or teaching artist highlights; track and report on analytics to guide strategy.
Internal Organization & Reporting: Organize digital assets and documents in Google Drive; create ARTSiE’s Annual Report summarizing impact, reach, and financials; attend regular team calls to stay connected and collaborate with staff.
Qualifications:
Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong eye for design and brand consistency
Proficiency with Canva or similar design tools
Experience managing website through SquareSpace
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (MailerLite)
Knowledge of social media strategy and platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn)
Basic video editing skills
Ability to analyze basic marketing data (e.g., social and email analytics)
Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple projects independently
Comfortable working collaboratively and participating in team calls
Preferred:
Experience working with nonprofit or arts organizations
Familiarity with the Evanston/Chicago arts or education landscape
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
Experience with community engagement and storytelling
Background in arts, education, or youth development a bonus
Job Type: Part-Time, primarily remote position, ideally to include some in person meetings and site visits, 5-10 hours per week with the possibility of future growth
Salary: $25-$30/hr based on experience, paid monthly. First month paid trial period.
