Hi, I’m Madison!
Madison Merkel grew up dancing and acting in Smyrna, Georgia. As a child, she loved reading and creating stories which led her to pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
During her time with ARTSiE, which started in 2019, Madison has developed and taught movement, yoga, and a week-long musical theatre camp based on James and the Giant Peach. Currently, she creates curriculum, assists in business development, coordinates administration, and works on website design.
She currently is pursuing her MFA in Acting at the University of Alabama. Madison believes that the theatrical arts inspire imagination, creativity, and innovation in the lives of children and hopes to bring this mission with her wherever she goes.
When she’s not moving ARTSiE projects forward, acting, or teaching yoga, Madison enjoys rock climbing, singing, and reading.
