Hi, I’m Emily!
Emily Yin is a violinist and violin teacher pursuing her Master of Music in Performance and Literature at the University of Illinois, where she was a recipient of the 2020 Creative and Performing Arts Fellowship.
She enjoys working in music education, having earned a Music Education minor in her undergrad, and currently serves as an instructor at the Illinois String Academy. Emily has previously taught at the Fairview Elementary School Violin Project and Aspen Music Festival Passes and Lessons Scholarship Program.
She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance as a Founders Scholar and recipient of the Premier Young Artist Award. As a violinist, Emily has performed in the Pacific Region International Summer Music Association online festival, the Orford Music Festival's Rising Stars concert and masterclasses, and the Aspen Music Festival orchestra concerts and Spotlight Recitals.
