Our incredible guest artists, Alfonso “Piloto” Nieves Ruiz and Andrew Walker, have been bringing our community together through mural painting days as we continue making progress on Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center’s historic, community-led mural.

With every brushstroke, this meaningful project moves closer to completion. We are now approaching the exciting stage of adding the medallions to the mural, bringing even more depth and significance to the artwork. Each painting session reflects the creativity, dedication, and collaboration of community members who have helped shape this vision from the very beginning.

Watching this mural come to life has been very inspiring. As vibrant colors fill the walls and stories are woven into every detail, the project stands as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when art and community come together. We couldn’t be more excited to see this shared vision continue to unfold and transform the space for generations to come.
