At ARTSiE, we believe in the transformative power of art to foster connection and creativity within communities. We had the privilege of partnering with Over the Rainbow (OTR), an organization dedicated to providing independent living solutions for adults with physical disabilities, to bring a unique artistic experience to their residents.
In collaboration with artists Piloto and Ms. Robyn, ARTSiE led a hands-on workshop where OTR residents created their own clay medallions that will soon adorn the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center mural. We ended the workshop with beer donated by Double Clutch Brewing, where our mural fundraiser will take place. Thanks, Double Clutch!
OTR Arts Event Director, Jody O’Connor, shared her heartfelt feedback after the event:
“I cannot tell you how wonderful that event was yesterday! We had more than the usual number of residents partake in the project and they were absolutely captivated by Robyn and Piloto. Their gentle way of teaching really reached into the hearts of our residents and they created beautiful ceramic tiles! We look forward to the next session when the residents get to paint their pieces.”
